Aline Apostolska
Aline Apostolska (Montreal, QC) A journalist and French writer born in Macedonia in 1961, Aline Apostolska has lived and worked in Montreal since 1998. She spent ten years at Radio-Canada and is currently a columnist at La Presse and host of the Entretiens Littéraires de la Grande Bibliothèque de Montréal. She is the director of the literary collection Ici l’Ailleurs at Editions Leméac. Since 1987,she has published more than twenty books (novels, non-fiction,poetry, stories) for adults and young people, which all look at issues of identity, love of the unknown and notions of transmission. Her most recent works are the story L’homme de ma vie (2003) the novel Neretva (2005), Les Voisins Pourquoi (young people’s novel, 2006) and Ailleurs si j’y suis (Leméac,2007). Two other novels will be published in 2008 and 2009.
Aline Apostolska is the representative of L'Union des écrivaines et des écrivains du Québec.
