Pierre Gamache
Pierre Gamache (Gatineau, QC) is currently Director General of the Society and Cultural Expression branch, Acquisitions Sector, at Library and Archives Canada (LAC), where he is responsible for legal deposit and the acquisitions of archival material related to culture. From 2003 to 2009, Pierre held a similar position for Preservation, also at LAC. Pierre started his career in the Federal public service in 1982 with the National Library of Canada in a music specialist position. Throughout the years Pierre has occupied a variety of managerial positions at the National Library, including acting Director General in Research and Information Services.
Pierre holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music History, and a Master’s Degree in Library Science, both from McGill University.
Pierre Gamache is the representative of Library and Archives Canada.
